To mark 75 years of the National Health Service, Untold Stories of the NHS brings together poetry and prose written and inspired by staff at Trafford General Hospital, the first NHS hospital to be opened by Aneurin ‘Nye’ Bevan.

From midnight antics with a Mini in a service lift, to quiet tears shed in the Covid-19 ‘wobble room’, the stories gathered here celebrate moments of connection and kindness in times of uncertainty, and provide a timely reminder of the importance of the NHS and its continued survival.
